We are currently seeking a Payroll & Implementation Specialist to join our Payroll team.

You’re a detail-oriented, audit-minded payroll professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You bring strong project ownership, a compliance mindset, and experience supporting payroll implementations, vendor changes, major system updates, and operational change. You’re comfortable partnering across teams, managing multiple priorities, and getting hands-on in payroll operations to ensure successful delivery.
As a Payroll & Implementation Specialist, you’ll lead global payroll projects and transformation initiatives, including system implementations, vendor transitions, benefit vendor changes, major system updates and upgrades, country launches, and M&A integrations. You’ll help ensure payroll and benefits-related changes are delivered safely, compliantly, and with strong operational adoption.
Lead global payroll projects end-to-end, including implementations, migrations, vendor transitions, benefit vendor changes, major system updates/upgrades, country launches, and M&A integrations.
Support discovery, requirements gathering, current- and future-state process mapping, data readiness, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare for payroll and benefits-related changes.
Partner cross-functionally with PSA (HRIS), Total Rewards, Benefits, Finance, Legal, and regional People teams to ensure payroll and benefit changes are implemented safely, compliantly, and with strong operational adoption.
Support payroll processing and key validations to understand current-state workflows, identify risks or control gaps, and improve implementation outcomes.
Help strengthen payroll controls, documentation, audit readiness, and continuous improvement efforts across systems, processes, and vendor-supported workflows.
5+ years of payroll experience, with exposure to global payroll operations, payroll implementations, transformations, or major process and system changes.
Strong knowledge of payroll operations and controls, including reconciliations, approvals, variance analysis, audit-ready documentation, and compliance-focused process design.
Experience supporting vendor transitions, benefit vendor changes, or system upgrades that impact payroll inputs, deductions, funding, reporting, or employee experience.
Strong project management and cross-functional partnership skills, with the ability to coordinate across Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Finance, Legal, and People teams.
Familiarity with payroll platforms and tools such as CloudPay, Remote, Workday integrations, or similar systems.
A high level of attention to detail, ownership, and comfort working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Demonstrated interest in elevating your craft using AI.
Hands-on experience with CloudPay and/or Remote, including implementation, migration, or stabilization work.
Workday HRIS/payroll integration experience, including interfaces, pay element mapping, reporting, and exception handling.
Experience leading or supporting payroll-related vendor transitions, benefit vendor changes, or large-scale system upgrades.
Experience with UAT, parallel runs, go-live support, and hypercare for payroll or benefits-related changes.
Experience working across multiple countries, payroll models, or complex global payroll environments.
Payroll certifications or advanced payroll compliance, systems, or project management training.

*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
